Can I use VarroaVault for organic beekeeping?

Yes. The tools work for all beekeeping management approaches. When using treatment tools, simply select organic-approved products like oxalic acid, formic acid, or thymol.

How accurate are the calculations?

Our tools use standard industry formulas and published reference data. However, they are convenience tools only — always verify against product labels and consult your local extension service.

What mite count threshold should I use?

The widely accepted economic treatment threshold is 3 mites per 300 bees (1% infestation). Some beekeepers treat at lower thresholds, especially in spring. Your local bee club or extension service may have region-specific recommendations.
