Treatment Tracking & Efficacy Guide

The Treatments page helps you track every mite treatment across your operation, grade their effectiveness, and plan rotations to prevent resistance.

Logging a treatment:

  • Select the hive(s) being treated
  • Choose the treatment product and chemical class
  • Enter application date and expected removal date
  • After treatment, log your post-treatment mite count

  • Efficacy grading:

  • Grade A (90%+ reduction): Excellent — treatment worked as expected
  • Grade B (70-89%): Good — acceptable, continue monitoring
  • Grade C (40-69%): Below target — review application technique and conditions
  • Grade D (below 40%): Poor — possible resistance, change chemical class next round

  • Rotation strategy:

Rotate between at least 2-3 different chemical classes per year to slow resistance development. The dashboard tracks which classes you have used recently and flags if you are over-relying on one mode of action.

Important: Always follow product label instructions for application method, dosage, temperature requirements, and timing relative to honey supers.
